The Journey
Millie began her practice of Yoga in 2016 when she realised her “go-to” stress management tools were unhealthy and that her supposed stress relieving exercise habits were often overly rigorous, self-punishing and gruelling.
Fast-forward to 2023, Millie feels she's found that elusive concept of... balance. She now divides her time between practising as a Solicitor, teaching yoga and working on her start-up: "The Balanced Lawyer" which encompasses "all things wellness" for high-calibre professionals, such as lawyers.
Millie feels passionately about helping others integrating the natural discipline of Yoga into their careers, and ultimately their lives. She strongly believes that, in doing so, they will have an everlasting tool in their armoury which will assist in better managing stress, anxiety and ultimately their overall mental and physical health.
"In my experience, high performing professionals tend to be a type A personality, constantly striving towards their own personal definition of perfection. Cultivating a greater sense of self-awareness of when to be a little kinder and slower to one’s self, is something I feel passionately about".

After, or ahead of, a heavy day on calls, instead of forcing yourself on a fast run or to intensive spin class or HIIT session, often the recipe lies in slowing down the pace and caring for our body and mind, in a more nurturing way. This kind of care is counter intuitive to so many professionals because they are so conditioned by their high performance environment, where their productivity is measured every six minutes in time recording software".
A healthier, happier workforce is a more sustainable one.
